Winfred Arthur, Jr. [ curriculum vita ], [ Google Scholar Profile ], [ ResearchGate Profile ] the principal of the firm, holds a PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and specializes in the research, development, implementation, and evaluation of personnel and human resource management systems and programs. His primary research interests are in the areas of (1) personnel psychology with an emphasis on testing, assessment, selection, validation, and associated methodological issues, (2) individual and team training with a focus on complex skill acquisition, decay, and retention; and (3) individual differences related to skill acquisition and performance on complex information processing tasks. Dr. Arthur has extensive experience in job analysis and classification, survey development and large-scale data collection, development and delivery of training and management development programs, and selection and promotion test development, validation, and implementation. He has extensive experience in conceptualizing, developing, and directing projects and research in these areas and teaches several graduate courses in these areas as well. Consonant with this, he has published extensively in these areas as reflected in a record of over 150 publications and a current h-index of 52. Dr. Arthur is a fellow of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), the Association of Psychological Science (APS), and the American Psychological Association (APA). He is an associate editor of Human Performance and serves on the editorial boards of the premier journals in the field including Personnel Psychology and Journal of Business and Psychology. Dr. Arthur has also served as an expert in several court cases, and has and continues to provide technical and professional expert services to various client organizations. Dr. Arthur received his M.A. and PhD from the University of Akron, OH.

Dennis Doverspike, Ph.D., ABPP [ curriculum vita ], is a Full Professor of Psychology at the University of Akron, Senior Fellow of the Institute for Life-Span Development and Gerontology, and Director of the Center for Organizational Research. He is certified as a specialist in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and in Organizational and Business Consulting by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) and is a licensed psychologist in the State of Ohio. Dr. Doverspike has over thirty years of experience working with consulting firms and with public and private sector organizations, including 15 years as Executive Vice President of Barrett & Associates. Services provided include individual assessments, statistical analysis, development of large scale assessment systems, job evaluation and job analysis, and expert witness services. He is the author of 2 books, 16 book chapters, over 150 other professional publications, and over 100 conference presentations. He has served as an expert witness in 10 court cases and assisted with the preparation of expert testimony in over 75 additional cases. Dr. Doverspike received his Ph.D. in Psychology in 1983 from the University of Akron. His M.S. in Psychology is from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and his B.S. is from John Carroll University. He has taught courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, and directed dissertations, theses and practica.
